About this Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment at water and wastewater treatment plants. This role requires excellent fault-finding and repair skills, as well as experience with various types of pumps and mechanical assets.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant industry experience, a proven track record of effective problem-solving, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out mechanical installations and services, including routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations, including identification of mechanical faults and resolution
  • Mechanical and electrical supervision of onsite works, ensuring efficient completion within allocated timeframes
  • Identifying and organizing necessary shared equipment for job completion
  • Completing daily reports detailing works performed, materials used, and time on site

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry experience and qualifications as a fitter or similar
  • Proven ability in fault finding and repair of mechanical equipment, including gearboxes and pumps
  • Experience with pump installation and servicing, including dosing, centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity pumps
  • Working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
