Pig Farm Assistant Job

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pig Farm Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our pig farming operation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare and hygiene practices
  • Assist with daily farm operations including moving pigs, power washing, and serving sows
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of pig farming principles through hands-on training
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in pig farming or related field
  • Strong understanding of pig farming principles and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations
Benefits:

Our comprehensive benefits package includes 20 days paid annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and the Christmas holiday period. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with every second weekend worked.
