Dromoland Castle Hotel is a five-star hotel in Ireland, seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Night Porter. This position involves ensuring the security and comfort of guests during their stay.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel, providing smooth and efficient night service to all guests, and securing hallways, common areas, entrances, and other locations on grounds or in the hotel.
To perform this role effectively, you must have a full understanding of the Hotel fire procedures and fire assembly points, ensuring the safety of all guests at all times. You will also be expected to ensure that key areas of the hotel are manned and operating smoothly throughout the duration of the shift.
Other responsibilities include offering bar service to clients, dealing with queries, complaints, or problems that may arise, and having high awareness of property and security, as well as experience with safety procedures.
This role requires a minimum of 1 year's experience as a night porter or in a similar role, along with a high level of verbal and written English, computer literacy, flexibility with working nights, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests is essential.
