About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Dole Uk Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the technical function, including:

  • Developing clear communication and maintaining good relationships with customers and the site team.
  • Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and ongoing development of the site's HACCP, and TACCP/VACCP systems.
  • Managing the Supplier Approval process, including our customers' own systems for supplier management.
  • Maintaining our customers' online portals, i.e., Food Experts, Zoom, etc.
  • SUPPORTING THE COMPLIANCE FUNCTION DURING ALL CUSTOMER AND 3RD PARTY AUDITS.
  • SUPPORTING THE BUSINESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS FOOD SAFETY CULTURE PLAN.
  • WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE QUALITY TEAM TO ENSURE INSPECTIONS ARE COMPLETED WITHIN BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS' EXPECTATIONS.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a fresh food industry technical or senior quality manager role.
  • Experience in fresh produce would be an advantage.
  • Educated to degree/diploma level in a food science discipline.
  • Excellent attention to detail & communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with an understanding of Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to travel abroad.
  • Permissions to work in Ireland.
