About the Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist in our Rheumatology team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our occupational therapy service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Assessment and Intervention:

You will conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with rheumatic conditions, identifying their needs and goals, and developing personalized treatment plans.

Using evidence-based practice, you will deliver targeted interventions to improve functional ability, promote independence, and enhance quality of life.


Collaboration and Teamwork:

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

Through effective communication and consultation, you will contribute to the development of treatment plans, share knowledge, and support colleagues in their roles.


Service Development:

You will participate in service planning, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives, helping to shape the future direction of our occupational therapy service.

By sharing your expertise and ideas, you will contribute to the enhancement of our service, ensuring it remains responsive to patient needs and aligned with best practice.


What You'll Need

To excel in this role, you will require:
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a rheumatology department.
