Job Description

We are seeking experienced Social Care Assistants to join our team across various locations in Ireland. As a Social Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

You will be working closely with our dedicated team to provide high-quality care and support services. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others while developing your skills and expertise in the field of social care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities
  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals with disabilities and their families
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care
  • Have 1 year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Share Point, One Drive and Teams
  • A full driver's license and availability of own car
