Job Description

The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for managing the storage, distribution, and inventory of materials and equipment on a construction site. This role ensures that all materials are available when needed and that the storage area is organized and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials and equipment, conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy, monitor stock levels and reorder materials as necessary to prevent shortages, and use inventory management software to track and manage stock.
  • Receiving and Dispatching: Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality, verify delivery notes against purchase orders and report any discrepancies, ensure proper storage of materials following safety and organizational guidelines, and prepare materials and equipment for dispatch to various site locations as required.
  • Storage Organization: Implement and maintain a systematic storage system to ensure easy access and retrieval of materials, label and categorize materials and equipment for efficient identification, keep the storage area clean, organized, and free of hazards, and ensure that all materials are stored in a manner that prevents damage and deterioration.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and move materials and equipment using appropriate tools and machinery, follow proper lifting techniques, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Coordination: Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely availability of materials, communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules and material requirements, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, conduct regular safety inspections of the storage area, and report any hazards or issues.
