The successful candidate will have:

• A qualification in Social Work or a related field at a minimum of NFQ Level 8, with registration or eligibility to register with CORU

OR

• A recognised qualification in Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, or Youth Work;

OR

• A postgraduate qualification in Safeguarding, child protection, and welfare, safeguarding vulnerable adults. Other relevant education and experience may be considered;

AND

• At least 5 years of experience working in or within a similar role with safeguarding and child protection responsibilities;

• Experience dealing with safeguarding allegations, complaints, serious incidents, and investigations over the past 5 years;

• Management-level experience is necessary;

• Strong understanding of GDPR and associated legislation; developing policy, procedure, and work processes;
