Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bridge Design Engineer to lead bridge design projects from concept to completion.

This includes designing and developing bridge structures in accordance with current standards, such as Eurocodes and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead bridge design projects ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to inspect and maintain bridge assets using Eirspan Bridge Management System or similar.
  • Prepare technical reports specifications and contract documents leveraging expertise in project management and engineering principles.
  • Develop and manage junior engineers fostering growth and professional development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in bridge design environment preferably leading teams.
  • FE Modelling experience and knowledge of various materials.
  • Chartered Engineer of a recognised institution.
  • Full clean driving licence.
