**About the Role**
We are seeking a talented software developer to join our Datacenter Networks team at AWS. As a Software Development Engineer II, Cloud Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing key components of Amazon's next-generation datacenter fabric.
The ideal candidate will have experience in professional software development, with a strong background in designing or architecting new and existing systems. You will also have experience programming with at least one software programming language and be familiar with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with Network Engineering/DC Operations teams, as well as other teams operating provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and scaling tools. You will develop world-class software systems for automating Amazon's network, provide technical direction to the team, identify areas of focus, create and review software design documentation, and own the operational excellence of the software you put into production.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
