Senior FP&A Manager Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Manager to lead our financial planning and analysis function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within the commercial sector of our organisation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, with a significant portion in FP&A or commercial finance. Proven leadership experience, including managing finance teams and leading cross-functional projects, is essential. Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and advanced Excel skills is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the FP&A function, providing strategic financial insights to support operational decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Partner with the leadership group and commercial teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.
- Manage the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, including building out the 5-year plan for the group.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Provide training and development to operations teams on financial concepts and tools.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and controls.
- Support external and internal audits as required.
- Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the finance team and across the organization.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant, preferably with Big 4 background.
- Extensive experience in financial management, with a significant portion in FP&A or commercial finance.
- Experience in the construction or property industry or a related sector is advantageous.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing finance teams and leading cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis software and business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Strong communication skills to engage with senior leadership, investor relations, auditors, and design consultants, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
