Job Title: Network and Infrastructure Technician

We're seeking a skilled Network and Infrastructure Technician to join our IT support team, providing expertise to our network infrastructure, systems, and applications.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience in end-user IT support including desktop/laptop hardware, desktop operating systems (MS Windows), end-user application support and basic LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of layer 2 networking and server virtualisation environments (Hyper-V and/or VMware)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows platforms (Win 10 / Win).
  • Experience of supporting servers in a virtualised environment (Hyper-V and/or VMware)
  • Ability to manage Microsoft 365 services and utilising M365 tools including SharePoint / Lists / Forms etc

This role involves taking ownership of our in-house SIEM product and managing its daily operation, including threat reviews / analysis / remediation.

You will also assist the IT Service Desk team with the resolution of IT tickets – as required, across all areas of the Global IT operations.

In addition, you will work on delivering end-user focussed projects, including an ongoing Win11 rollout.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT support team, where you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our network infrastructure and systems.

As a Network and Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing ongoing vulnerability analysis reviews and remediations.
  • Working with existing team members to ensure OS images are hardened in line with industry best practice.
  • Managing Microsoft 365 security score with existing team members.
  • Planning firewall rule updates to address newly identified threats.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, with strong technical and analytic capabilities.

A high attention to detail is critical, especially when recording and reporting information as this role is based in a highly regulated industry.
