Job Title: Support Worker
Job DescriptionAs a Support Worker, you will be working with individuals in a family home setting. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those you care for.
Your role will involve providing high-quality support and care to meet the individual needs of your clients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure that each client receives the best possible care and support.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting with personal care, toileting, meal preparation, supervising medication, light housework, and basic shopping needs.
- Offering emotional and social support to our clients.
- Monitoring and documenting client progress.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment for our clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline. You will also need to be eligible for registration with CORU, if applicable. A full clean driving license is essential, as well as knowledge of New Directions Services and Supports for adults with disabilities. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also need to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances, shift patterns, and expectations. You must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Working HoursThe working hours for this role are varied and may include days, evenings, and weekends. You will be required to work a rota system, which will include night shifts and weekend work.
