Surgical Veterinary Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as a surgical veterinary specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will allow the successful candidate to focus on their area of expertise and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced theatre environment, managing complex surgical cases, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, confident, and passionate about delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures, including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
  • Manage complex cases, including those requiring critical care and post-operative management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Mentor and educate junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A strong foundation in small animal surgery, with experience in managing complex cases
  • Advanced certification or diplomas in surgery, or willingness to pursue these qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of productivity and quality
