About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buying Team Assistant to join our Buying Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Buyer in driving sales and margin growth within your designated category.

Your primary focus will be on assisting the Buyer in forecasting sales, stock, and margin for the concept, as well as creating and setting up products in accordance with company buying policy.

In addition, you will work closely with the Concept Buyer to develop and implement product assortments and promotions that meet or exceed budgeted targets. You will also be responsible for reviewing and analysing data from both digital and store channels to inform purchasing decisions.

You will be required to monitor stock levels against sales projections and work with the buyer and merchandiser to resolve any issues. Furthermore, you will propose price actions and stock movements in line with company policy, generate and review weekly/quarterly business reports, and participate in quarterly buying presentations.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years buying or sales experience in fashion or sports retail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Third level qualification in buying and business or related discipline

About You:

  • Highly organised with robust planning ability
  • Demonstrate ability to work well in a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
