The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Production Manager to oversee production operations at our site in Leinster. As part of our esteemed team, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure adherence to all safety and environmental policies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing production output, controlling costs, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations within a 24/7 continuous production operation.
  • Developing and leading production teams to foster a collaborative, efficient working environment focused on continuous improvement and meeting operational objectives.
  • Implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive cultural change, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to legislative requirements and championing key aspects of the safety management program.
  • Ensuring production team members are adequately trained and competent through structured training plans and performance evaluations.
  • Scheduling daily production activities, managing resources, and coordinating with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime during planned maintenance or shutdowns.
  • Investigating and reporting incidents, preparing KPI reports, and supporting Shift Coordinators to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in a technical or continuous manufacturing discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing shift operations in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment with a proven track record of delivering under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in Lean implementation and developing and executing continuous improvement plans.
  • Strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and proficiency in using computer systems to meet and exceed KPIs.
