Senior Planning Team Lead

As a senior member of our planning team, you will lead a high-performing group of professionals to deliver top-notch planning advice and services for various projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee resource allocation, workload planning, and project prioritisation within the planning team.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance on all planning deliverables.
Project Delivery:
  • Manage the preparation and submission of planning applications, EIAs, and related documentation.
  • Oversee planning input into renewable energy, infrastructure, and development projects from feasibility to consent stages.
  • Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
Strategic Contribution:
  • Support business development by contributing to bids, tenders, and proposals.
  • Monitor changes in planning legislation and policy to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice.
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives on sustainability, innovation, and operational improvement.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in Town Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered membership of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years' professional planning experience, including team management.
  • A strong understanding of Irish planning legislation, policy, and environmental assessment processes.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working on renewable energy, infrastructure, or environmental projects.
  • Experience across both urban and rural planning contexts.
  • Familiarity with cross-border planning considerations in Ireland/UK.
