Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical quantity surveying, including pre- and post-contract work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Contract: Prepare capital cost estimates, provide advice on building economics, produce lifecycle cost estimates, advise on tendering procedures, draft contract packages, and prepare pricing documents.
  • Tendering Phase: Provide advice on tendering procedures, draft instructions to tenderers, develop tender evaluation criteria, draft PQQ questionnaires, handle queries during the tender period, and commercial evaluation of all tender submissions.
  • Post-Contract: Value progress on site for interim certificates, ascertain amounts due to contractors for price variation, value proposed instructions, draft responses to contractors' correspondence, determine amounts of claims, and expedite contractors' insurances, bonds, and collateral warranties.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical QS is necessary.
  • Chartered or close to Chartership with SCSI is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a consultant environment carrying out pre- and post-contract duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to produce accurate work to project deadlines.
