Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Valuation Actuary to join our team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated actuarial professional to advance their career in a dynamic and global financial environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and investigating the performance of portfolios of treaty business, working closely with pricing teams to share learnings and understand new treaties. They will also be accountable for reporting reserves under various accounting standards, supporting local regulatory submissions, and contributing to ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting of reserves under various accounting standards including best estimate covering local legal entities, PartnerRe group and Covéa group.
  • Reporting of internal management metrics such as value of in force and new business.
  • Supporting local regulatory submissions.
  • Calculation of cashflow projections.
  • Maintenance, development and ongoing improvement of both models and processes.
  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Actuary or working towards a designation with a recognized professional body.
  • Actuarial Science or related degree.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience of Life reserving with an insurer or reinsurer.
  • Modeling in AXIS and R is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Experience with any of US GAAP (LDTI), IFRS 17 and Solvency II is an advantage.
