Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team at Quix Recruitment Group Ltd. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a vital role in the administration of complex investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering complex investment funds, including reviewing and understanding the fund's offering memorandum and verifying its alignment with the fund's setup and ongoing operations.
  • Liaising with investment managers, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure seamless transaction processing and NAV preparation.
  • Caluclating the Net Asset Value (NAV) for a portfolio of complex investment funds on various frequencies as specified by the client.
  • Tracking all cash items, including portfolio-related transactions, capital movements, and other income and expense items.
  • Performing three-way reconciliations of cash and assets/liabilities with investment managers and custodians.
  • Obtaining independent third-party pricing support where necessary.
  • Reviewing and validating partner/shareholder allocation calculations, including management and incentive fee calculations.
  • Calculating and sending out Estimated and Final NAV as required.

Client Relationships

You will also be responsible for managing client relationships, including:

  • Liaising with clients, investors, and other stakeholders as needed.

Special Projects

In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you may participate in special projects and assist with system development.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with a focus on complex securities and derivatives products.
  • Strong understanding of fund administration processes and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
