About the Job

As a Quality Assurance and Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our road construction project. You will oversee the implementation of quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement quality control procedures for all phases of the road project, including materials testing, workmanship, and compliance with design specifications.
  2. Lead regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  3. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, and prepare reports for project management.
  4. Provide solutions and recommendations to address any quality-related issues or defects, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  5. Collaborate with the project management team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and adherence to project timelines.
  6. Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures within the project and the company.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance and control, preferably in road construction or large infrastructure projects.
  3. In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards, as well as Irish construction regulations including ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality management systems.
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  5. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and quality management systems.
