About this role:

We are seeking a senior civil engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work on varied projects, including building and site development, and will be responsible for leading design teams and overseeing the delivery of civil aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead Civil Engineer as part of Multidisciplinary Design Teams">
  • Design input and oversight of the delivery of all Civil aspects of projects with a focus on drainage and watermain design and a good knowledge of basic road design principles">
  • Prepare project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage) with an ability to communicate complex technical matters with clarity">
  • Communicate design intent via PowerPoint presentations">
  • Prepare fee proposals and site specific quality response submissions for design contracts with public sector clients">
  • Communicate with internal and external parties via email">
  • Oversee preparation of design drawings for planning, tender and construction purposes">
  • Prepare design calculations for internal and external review">
  • Ancillary Certifier for the Civil engineering discipline on building projects (external works, drainage, watermain etc)">
  • Financial management of design budgets">
  • Supervise and mentor other civil engineers who will be reporting into the successful candidate">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Chartered Engineer qualification and experience in delivery of drainage design in Causeway or Micro-drainage. You will also need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritise and manage personal and team workload effectively.
