About the Role

The Support Worker is an integral part of our dedicated team, providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. This role requires a compassionate and flexible individual who can engage in daily activities and routines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.

As a key member of our Residential Services team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide 24/7 support, adhering to HIQA regulations and standards. The Health Care Assistant is required to be adaptable, with flexibility in relation to hours of work when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily activities and care as assigned by the Manager and outlined in the Integrated Care Plan.
  • Encourage recognition of individuals as unique entities, prioritizing their needs and comforts.
  • Act as an advocate for individuals and their families, ensuring provision of relevant information and support.
  • Develop social interactions for individuals in one-on-one and group settings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
  • Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs.
  • Full manual driver's license is mandatory, with eligibility to drive in Ireland.
  • Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
