Job Overview

As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights. Your expertise in statistical tools, analytical methodologies, and programming languages will be essential in designing and implementing advanced analytical models that support business process improvements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with proven experience practicing the applications of Data Science. A high degree of proficiency in using statistical tools, databases, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, Excel, and Minitab is also required.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, and JupyterLab, as well as experience developing and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models within a production environment.

The position requires strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely decisions and adapt quickly to change. Strong leadership and communication skills are also essential, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex quantitative analyses in an actionable manner.

Experience working within the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, particularly with GMP regulations, is an advantage. An understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement advanced analytical models to support business process improvements.
  • Deliver high-quality data science support to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand technical business applications and apply modeling techniques to improve effectiveness and decision-making quality.
  • Develop and sustain the data aggregation platform for process control and data analysis.
  • Act as an SME support to local data viewers/consumers.
  • Provide data science support during investigations, new process introduction, or change implementations.
  • Ensure continued compliance with cGMPs through routine statistical support.
  • Stay current with industry 4.0 trends and developments in AI/M.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Proven experience practicing the applications of Data Science.
  • High proficiency in statistical tools, analytical methodologies, databases, and programming languages.
  • Strong experience with IDEs and AI/ML model deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with Tibco platform or other visualization software.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and adapt quickly to change.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working within highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
