About the Apprenticeship

We are offering a comprehensive Trainee Electrician and Maintenance Professional apprenticeship program in Thermo King Galway. As a trainee electrician, you will assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, monitoring, fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be supported and mentored throughout your apprenticeship, acquiring responsibility for the execution of electrical preventative maintenance tasks and repairs coupled with continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the installation, commissioning, testing, monitoring, fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance and Engineering teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Developing and maintaining electrical equipment and systems.

Requirements:

  • Punctual and well-organized with good communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate as a team and work independently.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills as directed by your Manager.
  • Genuine interest in becoming a qualified Electrician.
