Software Development Engineer Role

As an experienced software development engineer, you will make a big impact while working on one of the largest software pipelines on the planet. The team develops and operates a Servicing Engineering System, applying state-of-the-art technologies (Azure, Kubernetes, AI) in support of both legacy and future Windows releases.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the system by implementing new capabilities, including Micro-Services, Infrastructure as a Service, and intelligent hands-free capabilities. Your goal will be to reduce/remove Live site issues via autonomous services and recovery, supporting a fast-changing code base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Modernizing workflows that support Windows Build and related automation.
  • Designing, coding, and delivering software to improve automation, availability, reliability, scalability, security, including infrastructure-as-code.
  • Debugging/troubleshooting the complete stack of build services, driving analysis of issues and outages, writing software and platform automation to resolve production problems with durable system fixes.
  • Creating solutions that are self-healing, based on telemetry signals and AI – we are data driven.
  • Collaborating and partnering with other engineers on functional designs and platform solutions.
  • Designing and implementing real-time telemetry pipelines and monitoring solutions on world-class big data technologies in Azure to automatically discover problems at their source.
