Production Maintenance Specialist

As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, your primary goal is to minimize production downtime. Your core responsibilities include maintaining and servicing all equipment in your area of responsibility, assisting in maintenance tasks outside of your remit, and ensuring that production machinery operates efficiently through regular maintenance checks.
You will be responsible for attending to breakdowns immediately, repairing machinery effectively to enable production to continue, and minimizing breakdowns through preventative maintenance and control procedures. Additionally, you will read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment. You will also diagnose faults and monitor the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out.
Requirements- A minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in repairing tying machines and vac pac machines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Well-organized, multitasking ability with good time management skills
This role offers standard hours based on a 40-hour week, running Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is essential as some occasional weekend cover may be required at peak production times. The salary for this role is competitive and dependent on experience.
