Job Title: Dental Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position, working 32 hours per week over 4 days.

The successful candidate will have excellent chairside assistance skills, with the ability to anticipate the needs of patients during treatment procedures. Strong patient record-keeping skills are also essential, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed dental charting and treatment notes.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to decontaminate and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and materials for treatment. They will also ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to, while educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competent chairside assistance skills during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Excellent patient record-keeping skills
  • Maintain a clean and organized dental surgery, following strict infection control protocols
  • Decontamination and sterilization of dental instruments, equipment, and materials for treatment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
  • Manage and maintain dental supplies and inventory, restocking as necessary
  • Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling
  • Assisting with reception duties where required
  • Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary restorations

  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience preferred (Experience working as a Dental Nurse in a clinic environment is an advantage)
