Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to fill the role of Youth Development Officer. This position plays a vital part in promoting and supporting our youth development program in the East Region.

This involves working closely with young people to provide them with opportunities to experience volunteering, help others, and make a tangible difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent group facilitation skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess a strong commitment to social justice.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and support the youth development program in the East Region
  • Create awareness of our organization's work and foster stronger support for it
  • Build meaningful relationships with schools and between schools and local communities
  • Provide young people with opportunities to experience volunteering and make a positive impact on society
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • A 3rd level qualification in Youth Work, Education or a related field
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' full-time post-qualified experience of working with young people in group settings
  • Skills:
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Strong ability to manage events and programs
  • Strong presentation skills and confident public speaker
