REGISTRAR IN PAEDIATRICS - PUBLIC HOSPITALS (HSE), IRELAND - JANUARY 2025

Role Overview:

The Paediatric Registrar plays a crucial role in providing frontline, hands-on care for a diverse patient population within the Paediatric Department. In addition to delivering lifesaving medical care, the Registrar is also responsible for guiding and training junior staff (SHOs). On-call duties are part of the role, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility and gain valuable experience in the specialty.

This position is ideal for experienced medical professionals seeking to develop new skills and apply their extensive knowledge in a challenging, yet rewarding environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have completed one of the following:

Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics (MRCPCH) / MRCPI Paediatrics
American Board of Paediatrics

Essential Requirements:

IMC registration
Relevant medical qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Previous research experience in clinical specialities with several publications
Experience in Ireland or the UK is highly desirable
Proficiency in English (IELTS overall band score of 7.0 or OET overall band score of B)
