My client a statutory body based in Dublin 24 ( hybrid working 3 days in office & 2 from home), have an immediate requirement for a Data Protection & Information Officer for a contract role until June .Reporting directly to the Board Secretariat and Compliance Manager, the Data Protection & Information Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the significant privacy and information compliance obligations are met, within legislative and regulatory deadlines and to appropriate standards.The ideal candidate will have:•A recognised third-level qualification at a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or equivalent;•A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a similar/relevant role;•A full Category B drivers licence that is valid in Ireland and a willingness to travel if required.•An in-depth understanding of data protection laws and practices;•Demonstrable knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Freedom of Information legislation and regulations;•Significant experience of monitoring compliance and performance reporting;•A record of successfully managing data protection compliance programmes, from initiation through to implementation;•First-hand experience of developing and delivering compliance related training and awareness activities at all levels across an organisationContact Natasha Bevan today for more information.
