What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Donegal Residential Services, Donegal Town
Praxis Care are developing new service outside of Donegal Town to provide a bespoke residential care to one service user with a diagnosis of mild to moderate Intellectual disability, Autism and Behaviors that challenge. In Praxis Care we strive to ensure that this service is tailored to the individuals needs with a person centered approach.
Praxis care provide a dedicated key working team who are there to support the resident in achieving the resident’s goals, dreams and aspirations. Resident rights and choice are promoted within the service with the residents been actively involved in the home and community. Staff must practice the values of dignity and respect at all times.
Staff are provided with all mandatory training along with scheme specific training to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skill base required to support the resident. The rota is based on the needs of the residents and therefore the shift pattern is designed to support same.

Salary Details:
Team Leader
Full Time, Part Time and Relief Contracts available
€35,069 - €46,541 per annum
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. When the role requires sleep-in duties a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies.
