My client is looking for an experienced General Manager with a strong sales background to join the business on a 6-12 month contract. Reporting into the Group Operations Director you will have six direct reports and be responsible for leading the leadership team, ensuring targets are met and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all team members. You will also engage with Group leadership and contribute to the ongoing development of Group activities. This is an 8-10million turnover business with up to 70 employees on site in total manufacturing products which are supplied throughout the globe. Direct reports include the Sales Director, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning & Scheduling. You will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved to satisfy OI requirement. Providing support and back up to the Planning & Scheduling Manager. Manage change through the business and getting buy-in from workforce through the leadership team and EC. Ensure compliance for Quality, Legal and Statutory requirements/standards. Overseeing the business sales and production strategies and holding regular meetings with teams (leadership, Engineering, HR, Quality, Production). You will work with the Sales Director to develop action plans to grow the business and profitability and react to the market by encouraging product development at budgeted timescale, cost and margin. Regular Tasks Individual weekly meetings with; Leadership, Engineering, HR, Quality Monitor relevant Commodities, Energy, Economic and Geopolitical concerns. Regular H&S floor walks, dealing with and overseeing H&S issues when needed. Work closely with Finance, production, Sales & Engineering to look at capital expenditure requirements.
