Evening shift Site Manager

Co Meath, Ireland hays-gcj-v4-pd-online Full time

Your new company

Your new organisation is a main, tier one building contractor who operates across several different industries across the general construction space.

They specialise in data centre / pharmaceutical / high-end commercial and residential, along with large-scale infrastructure work.
They pride themselves on their quality and safety standards, and have a pipeline of work in Ireland for the next 5+ years. They are one of the main recognisable contractors in the industry.

Your new role

Your new role is to be based in Dublin 3 for evening work on a large-scale residential development. 15:00 to 23:00pm. The requirement is initially for 3 days per week, but is likely to grow over time and with options to go full-time or permanent within several weeks if that is what you are after.

The role itself is standard supervision on site and management of concrete pours that happen late in the evening. There are specialist subcontractor teams present, and the main contractor wants a safe pair of hands on site to ensure safety standards are adhered to.
You will work on a project valued at over €150m and assist them for the next several months, reporting to a contracts manager.

What you'll need to succeed

To be suitable for this position, experience wise, you must have managed similar activities on site, preferably on medium to large-scale projects. Whether it be commercial/residential etc. You must have experience managing subcontractor teams and ensuring safety standards are met, whilst keeping a record of work being conducted.

You will be in a position to work the hours mentioned and on the occasional Saturday.
A trade or educational background is a benefit.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will work for one of the largest building contractors in Ireland, on a flexible basis for a number of weeks, which may be attractive and suitable to a selection of managers. Your working hours are outside of rush hour times, travel to and from site being more accessible.

You will be paid on an hourly or shift basis - 8-hour shifts usually. Hourly rates are either self-employer or PAYE. They are flexible on rates.
It is likely €40.00 to €50.00 per hour. For the right site manager, they may pay more.
You will likely have access to more hours/days over time if that is what you are looking for - long-term options are fully available due to the nature of work of the contractor.
They are one of the best building contractors to be established with, if you only want to operate on a night / part-week basis. They will have this option also, indefinitely.
Please express an interest if you've queries on the role and everything can be explained, to see if it is the correct fit, or explore other options.
Hourly or salary paid.
