Salary: €85,000 - 95,000

Overview

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead with strong hands-on experience in .NET and full stack web development.

This role involves both technical leadership and hands-on development, contributing to and managing the delivery of robust web-based applications and services. You will play a key role in modernising systems and supporting national programmes across a wide-reaching education and training landscape.

� Key Responsibilities

Hands-on full stack development using the Microsoft .NET ecosystemLead and mentor a development team; conduct code reviews and provide technical guidanceDesign, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applicationsCollaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical specificationsProduce and maintain documentation including business requirements and functional specsContribute to architectural decisions and future-proofing of platformsSupport project delivery with accurate estimation, scheduling, and reportingParticipate in testing, deployment and support of applications in productionStay current with industry trends and implement best practicesRepresent the organisation in cross-functional meetings and technical working groups

�️ Technical Skills - Required

7+ years professional experience in software development on medium to large-scale projects3+ years' experience in a technical lead or team lead capacityStrong .NET / C# full stack development experience, including: MVC / .NET CoreSQL ServerVisual Studio IDEIIS, TFS, Git, Azure DevOpsRESTful APIs, JSONFamiliarity with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Graph API, and modern authentication/authorisation (OAuth, MFA)Understanding of secure coding practices and application lifecycle managementExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment

Desirable Experience

Experience with SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, or TableauFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric and claims-based authenticationExposure to , Webpack, or AI-based chatbot integrationFormal training or certification in Agile methodologies or project management

� Education & Qualifications

NFQ/QQI Level 8 IT-related qualification (or equivalent)Ongoing professional development encouraged and supported
