Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.How you’ll make an impact: As a member of the software test team at SiriusXM, you will be joining a team of SDET (Software Development Engineers in Test) and Test Engineers responsible for testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers. What you’ll do: Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software. Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed. Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications. Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios. The candidate will execute test cases and report issues (analyse logs, and submit tickets) in the SXM test framework. What you’ll need 3-6+ years’ experience with Test Development and Environments BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired. Experience in Consumer or Automotive Software development Experience in Consumer or Automotive Frameworks Experienced in Consumer or Automotive Client Application Experienced in Tools for test development Experience in test automation Application of software development life cycle concept. Knowledge and application of at least one programming languages Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C# and Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON handling Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles Familiarity with version control systems (, Git) Understanding of dependency injection and design patterns Experience with proxy servers and related technologies Experience with unit testing frameworks (, MSTest NUnit) Basic knowledge of С/C++ would be a plus Experience with Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that enables a developer to view all of the HTTP and SSL / traffic between their machine and the Internet. This includes requests, responses and the HTTP headers (which contain the cookies and caching information). Requirements and General Skills: Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
