The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible for:

·The overall management of the Line Maintenance Department under EASA Part ;

·Notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.

·Ensure Safety Management System reports are review and processed IAW procedures;

·The implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues;

·Identification/implementation of Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions

·or any compliance deficiencies arising from audits;

·Ensuring that all line maintenance including line defect rectification is carried out to the standards specified.

·Ensuring that the organisation's procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance;

·The availability of sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work being performed;

·Ensuring the competency of all personnel engaged in maintenance;

·Establishing a program of training and continuation training using internal and/or external sources;

·The availability of facilities appropriate to the planned work including hangars, workshops office accommodation, stores as applicable for the planned work;

·Production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work;

·The availability of tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks;

·The availability of all necessary maintenance data;

·Recording and notifying any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel;

·Qualifications for the position

·At least 5 years relevant work experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate

·position.

·A relevant aeronautical degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification (EASA Part

·66 License)

·Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe

·operating practices.

·Knowledge of the aircraft through formalised training courses.

·Knowledge of maintenance methods.

·Knowledge of applicable regulations both EASA and UK CAA.
