Senior Design Engineer, Water Infrastructure Projects - LimerickOffice/Project Location: LimerickEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: Office basedPay: Competitive Salary package based on experienceExperience: 5+yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client delivers high-quality and high-volume water and wastewater works across the Southeast region.As Senior Design Engineer you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to bring Uisce Éireann projects from project brief stage to the detailed design stage and into construction.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the requirements associated with the design and delivery of infrastructure projects and will be expected to bring an innovative approach.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure projects while playing a key role in shaping our continued success.Support the Design Manager in mentoring and developing members of the design team.Take charge of allocated projects and assigned engineers, ensuring effective leadership, coordination, and technical delivery.Develop, review and approval of design documents and details, providing technical expertise and guidance where required.Ensure designs prioritise safety, the environment, constructability, and commercial efficiency.Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project requirements are met.Review and contribute to design programmes, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and to the required quality.Undertake site visits and technical assessments to inform and validate design work.Identify opportunities for sustainability and innovation in design solutions.Support business development initiatives and contribute to company growthRequirementsExperience working in a similar role on Uisce Éireann projects.Ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholder developing design solutions.Ability to use own initiative, and problem solve.Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.PackageBe part of a forward-thinking, innovative company making a real impactWork with an experienced and collaborative teamCareer progression opportunities in a growing businessCompetitive salary and benefits package
