Job Title: Instructor/Supervisor - Intellectual Disability Services

Location: South Tipperary
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 31 hours per week

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Instructor/Supervisor to join a specialist day service supporting adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in South Tipperary.

This position involves delivering tailored, person-centred training and supporting individuals to build independence, develop life skills, and participate in community life in accordance with New Directions guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver training programmes based on individual Person Centred Plans (PCPs)

Promote skill development, independence, and social participation

Support individuals in developing friendships, hobbies, and employment-related goals

Liaise with families, colleagues, and external stakeholders

Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning and review processes

Act as a Key Worker for assigned service users

Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including safeguarding and health and safety

Candidate Requirements

QQI Level 6 qualification in Disability Studies, Healthcare, or Train the Trainer (or equivalent)

Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar role working with adults with intellectual disabilities

Strong IT and administrative skills

Full clean Irish/EU driving licence

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Empathetic, flexible, and committed to person-centred support
