Skills Provision is searching for a HGV Mechanic to join an established company in County Cork, Ireland.

Operating for over 50 years the employing company has become the provider of choice in the Irish construction industry.

The position offers an immediate start.

Pay

€25 per hour, OTE €50,700 per year.

The Role

HGV Mechanic duties and responsibilities include:

Planned preventative maintenance and repairs. Use of diagnostic equipment. Carry out 12-week checks. Servicing of all vehicles. Keep accurate records. Ensure vehicle compliance. Attend training courses as required. Commitment to health and safety. Travel between company sites.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Formal trade qualifications. Experience on Volvo and Scania trucks would be preferred. Hold a valid Category B (Car) Driving license. Category C would be welcomed. Knowledge of auto-electrical/hydraulic systems would be advantageous. Competent English language skills. Work effectively as part of a team. Effective problem solver. Sound attention to detail. Hard working nature.
