JO--Automation Technician Contract Duration/Type: PermanentLocation: Clondalkin Dublin 2239 Hours per weekDay roleRemuneration: Competitive Salary, Healthcare, Pension and more.Overview of the role;The Automation Technician will work with the on-site Maintenance and Calibration team. He/she will liaise with the contract team, client engineering and equipment vendors for all issues relating to the automated systems in assigned building, i.e. BMS, QBMS, MCS, and VPE. He/she will resolve all automation issues relating to utilities plant and equipment, to ensure maximum uptime of same. Project work and reliability work is also part of this roleDay to Day of the Role: Maintenance and troubleshooting of all clients automated systemsCo-ordination and supervision of vendors and sub-contractors on site.Completion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelinesDelivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements.Update stores spare lists as appropriate when requiredKeep training current in line with client’s requirements, i.e. SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), EWI’s (Engineering Work Instructions), etc.When necessary, review all Maintenance Task Lists, SOP’s, EWI’s, and other relevant documentation to instigate the necessary changes post reviewAll work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.Liaise with client Automation groupRequired Skills for the Role:National Craft Certificate (or equivalent) in appropriate electro-mechanical /electrical/ instrumentation discipline.Cert/diploma/degree (or equivalent) in appropriate electro-mechanical /electrical/ instrumentation discipline.Experience of SCADA / PLCAnalogue / Digital IO systems.Loop checking.Electrical, schematic and circuit diagram reading.Process automation experience.Troubleshooting/repair of Low Voltage Electrical Systems,Good organisational skillsExperience in pharmaceutical environmentGood documentation skillsTeam PlayerAttention to detailMethodical & Analytical approach to work. Good problem solving and trouble shooting ability.Good Initiative and Pro-active attitude in approach to dutiesPlease note: Applicants must have full authorisation to work in Ireland without restriction or time limitation.
