Senior Category Management Specialist

Job Description:The Senior Category Management Specialist position is a highly collaborative role on the Workhuman Ecommerce team that partners on cross-functional initiatives to define and execute catalogue, promotional, and supplier partnership strategies. In this role, you will focus on optimizing a wide assortment of gift cards while building successful long-term relationships with a breadth of suppliers, all backed by a deep understanding of sales trends and business analytics. What we can offer you Build strong relationships with suppliers to maximize our mutual business growth and deliver on revenue and profitability goals Drive ongoing commercial negotiations with suppliers Build and manage a pipeline for sourcing brand marketing funds while coordinating cross-functional execution of placements and campaigns Proactively identify and implement supplier and catalog management process improvements in partnership with Operations and Product teams Create, maintain, and utilize a range of business reports and analyses to understand trends and drivers, effectively communicating insights among colleagues, team leaders and external partners The skills you bring 3+ years of Retail / ECommerce / Merchandising or Consulting experience Experience negotiating pricing/other terms with external stakeholders Skilled to an advanced level in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulae, data visualization using graphs and charts, etc.) Experience working in cloud-based analytics and data visualization tools Experience with Ecommerce systems/tools (product information management, supplier/partner management, etc.) a plus Excellent project management skills, ability to juggle multiple workstreams with complex interdependencies and tight deadlines Achievements  You have experience serving as an internal expert, collaborating globally with cross-functional teams, analyzing sales trends, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. You are articulate and have persuasive written and verbal communication, with a strong ability to engage with C-suite level contacts and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders. You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, supporting strategic planning efforts while executing necessary tactics. You demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with a solution-driven mindset. You are a highly organized, detail-oriented, and flexible self-starter capable of making a significant impact even in situations with limited structure or foundation.
