Hiring: Mechanical Engineer (Production) – Limerick OfficeLocation: On-site, LimerickLevel: Experienced (3+ years)Type: Permanent (6-month probation)Hours: 8-hour day shiftBenefits:21 days annual leaveDefined contributory pension (after 6 months)Bi-annual bonusAbout the RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a busy and growing Production Engineering team in Limerick. This is a hands-on, office-based role with a strong technical focus and customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll take ownership of key accounts, deliver cost-effective engineering solutions, and manage projects from concept through to delivery.What You’ll DoCollaborate with customers, engineers, suppliers, and in-house teamsInterpret and develop 2D/3D technical drawings (AutoCAD / SolidWorks)Plan and schedule production aligned with customer needsTroubleshoot daily issues and drive process improvementsManage customer accounts and identify new opportunitiesMaintain accurate project documentation and track KPIs using ERP/MES systemsSupport quoting with material selection and time/cost estimatesWhat We’re Looking ForLevel 8 Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Precision EngineeringMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar engineering environmentStrong ability to read and create detailed technical drawingsProficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCADStrong mechanical reasoning and customer interaction skillsOrganised, detail-focused, and proactive communicatorExperience in stainless steel fabrication or precision profiling is a bonusThe CompanyA long-established engineering firm with multiple sites across Ireland, providing high-quality materials and technical services to a wide range of industries.
