Job Description:

Flexsource, on behalf of a leading infrastructure services provider in Ireland, is recruiting for a Van Driver / Road Maintenance Operative to join the team at our Balbriggan service depot. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in road maintenance and driving. Full training is provided – no previous experience is required.

Job Title: Van Driver / Road Maintenance Operative

Main Duties:

Drive company vehicle safely to and from worksites and depotsAssist with road maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, litter picking, cleaning signage, hedge trimming, and other upkeep duties along road networksOperate basic tools and equipment safely (training provided)Carry out general site maintenance and ensure work areas are safe and tidyFollow all health, safety, and environmental guidelinesWork effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when requiredSupport depot operations and perform ad hoc duties as needed

Candidate Profile:

Full B driving licence (6+ months’ driving experience desirable, but full training and support provided)No prior road maintenance or landscaping experience required – full training will be givenWillingness to work outdoors in all weather conditionsReliable, with good communication skills and a positive attitudeFlexibility to work on-call shifts when required

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to FridayStandard shifts:Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30Friday: 06:00 – 14:30Availability for on-call duties outside of normal hours is required

Pay & Benefits:

€15.50 per hour base rateNight Shift Premium (1.3x): €20.15Overtime (1.5x after 40 hrs): €23.25Emergency On-Call (1.75x): €27.12Sunday/Bank Holiday (2x): €31Daily subsistence allowance: €8.28 (tax-free)Weekly on-call allowance: €Long-term career opportunities with pay progression as skills develop
