POS Product Manager/Product Consultant - Contract - URGENT

My client, a leading payments giant is looking to hire a POS Terminal Product Consultant/Manager with experience working on complex POS integration products from an M&A perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Leadership to Define and manage the product scope for POS terminal integration projects across multiple platforms. Assess existing POS portfolios (hardware, payment apps, Middleware, certifications) and recommend the migration and product strategies. Lead discovery workshops with business, operations, and technology teams to identify integration requirements. Solution Design & Delivery to Develop detailed product and functional requirements for POS terminal ecosystems. Stakeholder & Vendor Management to Act as the product liaison between internal teams, vendors and external partners. Collaborate with IT, Product, Compliance, and Business units to align integration activities with overall merger objectives.Provide regular updates to leadership on risks, dependencies, and progress. Change & Risk Management to Identify potential integration risks (eg, Legacy dependencies, certification gaps, contractual obligations). Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure project continuity. Support knowledge transfer and training for internal support teams and client-facing staff.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

5+ years' experience in POS terminal product management, consultancy, or payments integrations. Strong knowledge of POS hardware, payment applications Experience managing integration projects during mergers or acquisitions focusing on product analyses and strategies across the portfolios Proven track record of vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred:

Experience with multiple POS terminal vendors (eg, Ingenico, Verifone, PAX, Castles). Knowledge of payment gateway APIs, Middleware solutions, and merchant acquiring systems.
