About the Role:
In this role, you'll maintain and repair onboard electrical systems including power generation, distribution, and automated control systems.Duties also include preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis.The role will also involve participating in emergency response and damage control duties, including firefighting and other exercises.Requirements:
Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in IrelandCharacter & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standardsAge: 18-39 years on the date of applicationQualifications (or national equivalent): HETAC Level 7 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics & Instrumentation, or Marine ElectrotechnologyQQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation, or InstrumentationSalary & Benefits:
Basic salary: €49, with annual incrementsNaval Service Allowance: €20,Additional allowances for overseas service: Starting at €15,Please note: You will be based at the Naval Base, Haulbowline, Cork. The recruitment process includes a Fitness Test, Interview, Medical Examination and Garda Vetting. All assessments are conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline, Cork.
