Your new company Your new company is a leading Electrical and Mechanical engineering contractor that employs 2,000 highly-skilled professionals across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. They provide full Electrical and Mechanical contracting services as well as specialist high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) design and construction services. They work with clients across a number of different sectors, including Data Centres, Life Sciences, Industrial, and Power and Renewables. Your new role The role of the Mechanical Site Supervisor is to support the organisation and co-ordination of site-based activities and to lead and co-ordinate teams of Mechanical Engineering trade professionals on site. The Mechanical Site Supervisor will be responsible for tracking and recording daily site activities and progress. They will lead their teams to deliver to quality, on time and to budget in a safe and efficient manner. They will deal with obstacles and develop team capacity.In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:Ensure a safe workplace, safe systems of work, competent personnel and safe working practices and cultureSupervise activity/work package deliveryRecord daily activity logs for all site activityLiaise with the various trade professionals to organise new work areas and ensure smooth co-ordinationLiaise with subcontractors on materials ordersManagement of direct site staff and direction to designated work areasAttending regular site meetings with site management to update on progressTechnical support to the trade teamsEnsuring all work areas are clear and ready to be handed overDevelop teams What you need to succeed Senior Trades qualification or equivalent coupled with 5+ years site experience ideally within pharmaceutical/medical device, commercial, industrial or data centre type sectors.Strong understanding of site activities and how they are planned and coordinated.General knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services, Utilities, Process Piping Systems etc.Can interpret schematics & Mechanical DrawingsRecord of success as a Trade LeaderFamiliarity with materials ordering and lead timesStrong client focusCommercial acumenExcellent communicator/strong interpersonal skillsPlanner/OrganisedInfluencerConscientiousDecisive and action-orientedTeam playerAttentive to detail and record keeperResults-oriented with the resilience to work under pressure Pay Range and Compensation Package: You will be paid at a competitive hourly rate between €30 to €40 per hour. These are typically paid for 40 hours per week, and you will be paid for any overtime hours worked. This comes out to approximately 60k to 80k when converted to an annual salary.This is open to PAYE and self-employed workers.
