The Social worker can be based in Meath or Drogheda.This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting children (0-18 years) with complex needs, including physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities, autism, and developmental delays.If you are a passionate Social Worker interested in children’s disability services, early intervention, and supporting families through strengths-based practice, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive social work assessments of children and families presenting with a range of developmental and disability-related needs. Provide family support, counselling, psychoeducation, and practical guidance to parents/carers. Contribute to the development and review of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), ensuring goals reflect family priorities. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and others. Assist families in navigating disability services, entitlements, respite, community supports, and advocacy pathways. Participate in safeguarding work in line with Children First and HSE policies. Build strong partnerships with schools, early years settings, community services, and voluntary agencies. Maintain high-quality records, reports, and documentation in line with professional standards and CDNT guidelines. Promote child protection, family wellbeing, empowerment, and inclusion at all times.Essential Criteria: CORU registration as a Social Worker (essential). Experience working with children, families, disability services, child protection, early intervention, or community-based supports. Strong understanding of Children First, disability legislation, family systems, and multidisciplinary working. Excellent assessment, communication, advocacy, and report-writing skills.
