Construction Site Engineer - Buildings Contractor - Cork

Office/Project Location: Cork City, Cork

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Location: Site Based

Pay: €55K-70K with excellent company benefits and a strong order book.

Experience: 3+ years

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a main buildings contractor working on a wide variety of projects in the commercial, healthcare and educational sectors.

You will be working within a well-established team on a variety of buildings projects in Cork.

The current workload is exciting and you will be involved at all stages.

Working alongside a foreman, you will support the Project Manager in day to day running of the site.

Strong understanding of quality, safety and environmental standards in executing and development of a project

Coordination of sub contractors

Monitor and control of health and safety standards on site

Carry out site inductions as required

Liaise with the design team on construction issues

Raise RFIs with the design team

Issue requisitions for materials

Maintain the site diary / daily log activities

Monitor and control quality / work standards on site

Manage concrete quality, taking cubes / slump tests on site & recording results

Maintain goods received register

Requirements

Degree qualified Engineer

3+ years experience (preferably with a main contractor)

Strong Setting Out/Levels experience

Reinforced concrete works experience

Building experience - Commercial/Industrial/Educational

Knowledge of BIM an advantage
