Health & Safety Officer - Construction Contractor - MeathOffice/Project Location: MeathEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: HybridPay: €45K-€70KExperience: 3+yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is a well-established contractor with a proven track record in the successful completion of a wide variety of projects. They are seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their expanding team to oversee projects in Meath/Kildare/Dublin The candidate will be responsible for formalising and improving existing company systems, procedures and documentation in our Integrated Management System which covers the two disciplines and the subsequent rollout and maintenance of this system across head office and site locations. Past experience of design and implementation of Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems in the Construction Industry and or third level qualifications in Health and Safety Management are essential.Design, Implementation and Maintenance of IMS, management of external third party accreditation of sameTraining company staff in use of systemMonitoring compliance on all live construction sites, particular emphasis on Health & Safety PerformanceCarrying out regular audits across all sites and ensuring any issues arising are resolvedProduction of ongoing monthly compliance reports to inform company decision makersProduction of Project specific documentation including Construction Stage Health, Safety Plans, Project Quality Management Plans, activity method statements, risk assessments etc.Attending meetings with Clients, regulatory authorities and Sub-contractors to discuss Health & Safety issuesGeneral oversight role to ensure all company operations are conducted in line with various policies and proceduresInvestigating incidentsEnsuring Compliance across construction sites and Head office. RequirementsA minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor is essentialDegree level qualification in HSE and/or equivalent experienceBe able to communicate well and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of construction practices, trades and techniquesAn ability to influence at all levels to achieve the best outcome for the organisationA full clean European driver’s license and a form of transport which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilitiesExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeThe ability to work as part of a teamThe ability to meet deadlinesProfessional presence, dress and demeanourPackageCompetitive Salary Package dependent on candidates experience, company vehicle or vehicle allowance, fuel card, laptop & phone, pension plan.
